About the author

Rev. Lou Snead

I am a native of Jacksonville, Florida where I graduated from high school in 1965.  After Army basic training, I attended community college and then Florida Technological University (now Central Florida University) where I earned a BA degree in humanities.  I then entered a Master’s degree program in religion at Florida State University and became a candidate for ministry in the Presbyterian Church U.S.  To prepare for the ministry I attended Colgate Rochester Divinity School and graduated with an M. Div degree in 1978.  In my 35 years in ministry, I served Presbyterian churches in Virginia and Texas, retiring in 2012.  My wife and I now live in a 55+ retirement community in Georgetown, Texas.
